Hi Folks,

As discussed, here are some links to visit for lots of running info.

"Training with a Herat Rate Monitor" (on this site - in the left side bar, under "Tips and Plans")

Determining your training paces: http://www.coacheseducation.com/endur/jack-daniels-nov-00.htm

and: http://www.mcmillanrunning.com/index.php/site/calculator

Both the above pace calculators have instructions on the sites, but if you have questions, feel free to ask me. However, they both require you to complete a race, so for now, just concentrate on "singing your song" as you go. :-)

Buying the right running shoes: http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-240-319--7726-0,00.html

and: http://www.runnersworld.com/video/1,8052,s6-4-0-4,00.html?bcpid=780919304001&bckey=AQ~~,AAAAABjSC4E~,YBF36HfcFnaeozx0gle1sv5joItVrHMv&bclid=1716449631&bctid=16474217001

Remember... you are always best to buy your shoes from a seasoned runner. Don't expect the kids at Sport Check to properly fit you! And most important - Listen to your feet.

And last, a website from a very seasoned runner and coach - Hal Higdon. Lots of info on this site to help you along the way. Don't just stick to the beginner's page... Snoop around and learn as much as you can! http://www.halhigdon.com/beginrunner/intro.htm

For Meghan and Kim - Feel free to contact me any time for your run program. We can meet up, or chat on the phone r by email - whatever you prefer. :-)

Happy running!
